Business Development Director - IoT & Smart Cities, Intel Corporation
Michel Abou Diwan is the Business Development Director – IoT (Internet of Things) & Smart Cities, for Intel in the Middle-East and North Africa (MENA) region based in Dubai office.
Michel is responsible for extending the reach, benefits, and value of Intel technology into new business areas across the region. This includes solutions embracing the Internet of Things, Smart Cities, Smart Manufacturing, Connected Retail, Smart Transportation, and Energy.
He has done extensive work in partner development programs and working closely with Intel’s ecosystem partners, IoT Equipment Manufacturers, OEMs/ODMs/ISVs, and Systems Integrators to develop regional strategies for IoT capabilities and drive cross-functional engagements with leading partners in technological ecosystems. He also specializes in DataCenter Computing & Solutions, Big Data, Advanced Analytics, Cloud Technologies, Machine Learning, AI, and Security.
Joined Intel in 2014 and prior to his current role as the Business Development Director for MENA, Michel held the position of Sales Director and was in charge of the DataCenter Solutions Sales across the Middle-East and Africa (MEA) regions.
Michel has expertise in exploring disruptive ideas and converting them into products while developing suitable business models. Michel earned his B.S of Computer Science & in Computer Information System from Notre Dame University (Beirut), and DataCenter Design & Facilities Management from The Institute for Data Center Professionals, Marist College (New York).
